Thursday Racing always turns up some surprises and yesterday was no different.
Seymour races in Vic. were put off due to weather, so the TTC meeting was slotted into the same times as Seymour and we were started 25 mins. later, but that was a small windfall as we were shifted to SKY world and Sky One for telecast.

The first race of the day The Tas Breeders 2YO Maiden was won by the street corner tip Here's Kilandy Boy, having his first race start.
He had impressed at an earlier trial in Hobart and was expected to be the one to beat and he left little doubt about that.

The three divisions of the Maiden threw up some impressive performances with Tuesdaynitedelight, Ishtar King and Annabel's Dream all winning in style to suggest they can do so again.

James Nevin showed he has lost none of his ability winning on Tiger Khan for his grandfather Ken Hanson, while King of Gondor lived right up to his recent barrier trial performances with a gutsy win over 1600m and should be even better suited to further.

Parched continued the good run of Team Brunton at the track, and also the good form of jockey Stephen Maskiell winning the Class 2 1400m.

Sharvic won the Class 1 beating some handy types and showing he is in for a fruitful winter for his Launceston based owners.

Secdolrue was right on top of his game in the main event over 1200m, beating his neighbour Centenary Diamond and fav. Trysty in impressive fashion.

The last race run over 1400m under lights saw Raging Baa trounce his rivals and show a liking for the surface at Launceston.
Trainer John Blacker is getting on a roll with his stable and is well worth following in the next few weeks.
