| Ten Trials were held at the Longford Training Centre on Tuesday on a Slow track over approx. 700M. Trial 1 was won by Two Avenues from the Graeme McCulloch stable and looked a likely type, doing his best work late to win by 2.5L in 41.18sec. He is engaged on Sunday and should show up. Winner of Trial 2 was Move Your Shoes, a nicely bred filly in the John Blacker stable, with a time of 41.89sec. Trial 3 was only a small field of four, but may be a good form trial to refer back in the coming weeks, with Gee Gees Baracus narrowly beating Twice The Fun and My Regards in a time of 41.81sec. Trial 4 was taken out by a handy type in Rulesto in a time of 41.49sec. Trial 5 winner was Ladali, a well bred 3YO trained by George Blacker, who looks to have a future following his impressive gallop in 41.84sec. Winner of Trial 6, Astrophobic has continued her good trial form and should be seen to advantage when she commences her campaign in the very near future - she won in the quickest time of the morning 41sec. Trial 7 winner, Xaartee, is engaged this weekend and should be given thought as she also has shown good form at the recent trials - her time was 41.35sec. Trial 8 was won in very soft fashion by Racers Eight, who is engaged at Hobart this Sunday. She hasn't raced since late Jan., but sprints well fresh, her time was 41.45sec. Trial 9 was won by prolific placegetter Telerossi, who may be in for a good season if his trial form is an indication, he won in 42.31sec. The last trial of the session was taken out by the promising stayer, Sir Danely Summer beating handy sprinter Stormbay Spirit and Princess Romanova in a time of 41.31sec.and giving trainer Barry Campbell three winners for the day. |
