| Trials were held at the Longford Training Centre today and here are some of the better performances for your perusal. The only 2YO trial was won in nice fashion by the Ian Hay trained filly Royal Miswaki. Cool Illusion (39.58) from the Mick Burles yard and Beautiful Fantasy (38.74)another from the Hay stable, won the two divisions of 3YO heats, with the latter looking a likely type. Qui City from the Burles yard won the Maiden trial narrowly in 39.66. The three divisions of Open trials showcased some very smart horses preparing for the upcoming Newmarket and Summer Racing Carnivals. These horses included With Decorum and Maywyns Quest (both beaten but not extended in Two Bob's trial. Colonel Parker done all he wanted in winning his trial, which included promising stayer Dream Pedlar. The last and quickest trial of the morning was won by the handy grey, Old Masters in 37.54, he returns to the races this Sunday in a Class 6 1000M Hcp. Hopefully we have given you a leg up to some coming winners leading into Summer. |
