Eight races were run on a dead track at the Tote Racing Centre yesterday and a good days racing was had by all.
David and Scott Brunton had another day out winning three races to see them well clear on the Premiership ladder at this stage of the season.
This training combination must love this venue as they keep churning out winners and keep on returning.
No one jockey dominated the day, but the "fly ins" went away with the thick end of the prize.
Brave Mukky again showed his staying ability by winning the 2100m Betfair Hcp and progressing a step closer to a possible start in the Launceston Cup next month.
In the main race of the day heavily backed Victorian raider Excuse My French got up in the last bound to catch underated 3YO Geegee's Blackflash, with promising young stayer Ebbing close up third.
No doubt these three youngsters will figure prominently in the upcoming Classics.
The last winner of the day Cool Heat continues to impress at this venue and may be in for more wins over the carnival.
