Top trainer Charlie Goggin continued on his way with a double at The Tote Racing Centre on Sunday, winning the opener with Private Colours and bringing home the last with handy mare Bavarian Belle.

The two feature races of the day were taken out by Gary White trained duo, Feerique and Twenty Grand.
Gary has ran hot at the venue over recent weeks and fully supports the StrathAyr surface for any of his horses that may have suspect joints, as was the case on Sunday with Twenty Grand - a horse who has shown heaps of ability, but has been limited by problems including operations on both sesamoids and a bowed tendon, both can be career ending.
Gary's other winner was in the Acelands 1000 Guineas with promising filly Feerique.
It was a good effort by the filly as she came from behind in a slowly run race and made good ground. The other good run in the race was third placegetter Love The Moment who was also a victim of a slow pace early.

The Michael Trinder trained 2YO Strike The Tiger was ultra impressive once again and appears to have a very bright future, however Michael was of the opinion after the race that Strike The Tiger had pulled up shin sore and may miss the rest of the carnival.

The Blacker Family had a good day out between them winning a race each, but possibly the most impressive was Dream Flyer, trained by Troy, a 3YO who is a half brother to Dream Pedlar (Tassies best chance on paper for the Hobart and Launceston Cups).

The carnival continues on 14th Feb with the Finance Brokers of Tasmania Gold Sovereign Stakes and the Tasmanian Yearling Sale 3YO Classic.
