Longford Trials 2/2/10 By: Ron Riley - February 5th, 2010 This article has been read: 165 times. |
| Ten trials were held at Longford on Tuesday, with some impressive performances and likely winners showing up. Trials 1 - 4 were for 2YO's and Trial 1 looked to be the most impressive field with Rose Of Scotland winning from Royal Miswaka and Kiger. This form will provide some good runs in coming weeks - I was very impressed by Kiger's trial. Trial 2 was won by Hermanos Queen from Move Your Shoes and Seeking Chi, all nice trials. Trial 3 was won in impressive style by Fabulously Fake from Kings Verdict. Trial 4 was taken out by the Charlie Goggin trained Stella Fiora who had a bit up her sleeve on the line. Trials 5 & 6 were put on for 3YO's and Trial 5 was won by Symic from the Mick Burles camp. Trial 6 was won by the Team Brunton filly in My Regards, who looked smart. Trial 7 was a Maiden trial, but judging on the win of Matsqui Maid, she won't be a Maiden for very long. Trial 8 was also a Maiden Trial and Tough Future won in good fashion. Trial 9 was an Open Trial and the Bill Ryan trained Light Illusion had a soft win prior to his next race start on Monday. The last of 10 trials over the longer trip of 1400M was taken out by handy galloper in West Coast Boy trained by Leon Wells. Some of these runners will compete on Monday in Hobart and should be watched closely. |
